What is keyword research?

What are keywords?

Keywords usually refer to the sum of what people search for in a search engine. A keyword is a word or phrase that people use to search for something online. Keywords can be compared to queries again, meaning that people search all the search queries to find out about something called a keyword. I hope I have been able to give you an idea about keywords. So let's talk about keyword research

Types of Keywords can be divided into 2 parts:

1.local keywords,

2.International/global keywords

What is keyword research?

Simply put, keyword research is the keyword selection process. That is, keyword research is the sum of the methods used or the rules that are followed in choosing the right and profitable keywords. There are usually two ways to do keyword research,

1) Mualli keyword research

2) Paid tools for keyword research

1) Manually keyword research:

Manual keyword research means that no paid tools are used for keyword research. And each step is done manually. The disadvantage of manual keyword research is that it takes a lot of time. The advantage is that it takes a lot of time and chooses good or profitable keywords, as well as the work plan, is well done. And is 100% confident?

However, you have to use some free tools while doing manual keyword research, but you don't have to pay for it.

2) Paid keyword research

Paid keyword research is about doing keyword research using various paid tools. The advantage of keyword research with paid tools is that many keywords can be researched in a short time. Also, the graphs can be seen very clearly which is not possible manually.

Before starting keyword research, you need to have a good idea about Nice (Nice means a specific topic that you or your client wants to start working on).

In this case, the client will give you the starter keyword, and if it is for yourself, you have to find it.

      Step by step keyword research

Keyword Research Step 1: You need to do brainstorming and note down some keyword ideas. (Brainstorming is about making some keyword notes about what your business or your website visitors will find if you search by typing.

Keyword Research Step 2: Google each keyword noted and update the notepad again with the keyword from the Google Suggest result. In this case, if you need more suggested keywords, you can use the various free tools available online. Below are some of the tools that people use a lot.

1. Google Keyword Planner

2. Keyword Everywhere

3. Uber Suggest

4. Keyword Revealer

5. There are many more tools including LSI graph, SIM scope, keyword sitter.

Keyword Research Step 3: Copy all the keywords from Notepad and download the Excel file by extracting the search volume with the help of Google Keyword Planner. Then there are some keyword selection rules that you can follow to select some keywords and delete the remaining keywords from the file. (Inshallah I will write more details about Google Keyword Planner tools setup and features).

Keyword Research 4th Step: You can find your desired keyword through the Competitors Analysis of each selected keyword. (Competitors are those who have been working on the same keyword or who have already started working).

The rules of a keyword selection

  1. Search volume will be 800-1000 or more. (The more search volume related keywords you take, the more difficult it will be).
  2. The title will be between 500 or 500. Generally, if the altitude is less than 500 or 500, it is considered as competitive, if it is between 500-1000, it is considered as medium competitive, and if it is more than 1000, it is considered as highly competitive.
  3. Competitors need to choose keywords that are between PA, DA 20-25, or 30. (PA is the Page Authority, meaning the average score out of 100 of a particular page on a web site is PA. Similarly, DA is the combined average score of all the pages of a website, which is calculated using the free order extension of Mazbar Tools).
  4. The average backlinks of the competitors of the selected keywords will not be more than 30-50. If there are more, it is better not to choose those keywords, but a lot depends on your budget.
  5. The average social share of the competitors of the selected keywords will be below 100.
